Clear expectations for a personal, private service

The service

YoursToOpen lets a creator prepare a personal digital reveal, invitation, proposal, or message and share it through a private link or QR code. The recipient does not need an account or an app to open it.

These terms apply to the public site, creator tools, account features, private recipient experiences, and support channels. They do not give anyone a right to browse another person’s private creation.

Who may use it

You must be legally able to agree to these terms. If the law that applies to you requires permission from a parent or guardian, do not use the creator, account, or payment features without that permission. If you create on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.

A PRO purchaser confirms they are authorized to use the selected payment method. Recipients never need to pay or create an account.

Creator content and permissions

You keep ownership of the content you submit. You give YoursToOpen the limited permission needed to host, process, preview, deliver, secure, support, and delete that content as you direct through the service.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use each name, message, photo, event detail, and other material you include. Do not use the service to publish someone else’s information, likeness, or work without permission.

Acceptable use

Do not use YoursToOpen for harassment, intimidation, hate, threats, deception, impersonation, malware, scams, sexual exploitation, doxxing, unlawful content, or any attempt to obtain private information. Do not disguise a destination, try to bypass access controls, scrape private links, or interfere with the service.

A personal surprise is not a reason to remove the recipient’s ability to understand what they are opening or whether a response will be visible to the creator.

Private links and recipient responses

Private links and QR codes are capabilities: anyone who has the link may be able to open the intended reveal. Share them only with the intended recipient and revoke the reveal if you believe the link was shared improperly.

Where an experience asks for a response, the recipient should be told what they are choosing and whether the creator can see that response. Recipient experiences are not public social posts.

Free, PRO, and expiry

Free includes one saved experience, two color stories, a generated link for 24 hours, opened and reply-received status, and a PNG QR. PRO costs USD $4 once for lifetime account access and adds the features shown on the pricing and upgrade pages. It is not a subscription and does not renew.

Lifetime describes account access for the operating lifetime of the YoursToOpen service, not perpetual hosting of every reveal. A new PRO link is available for seven days and may be extended once for seven more days. A creator may revoke or delete a reveal earlier. After it is unavailable, the link does not expose private content.

Safety, moderation, and reports

We may restrict, revoke, remove, or preserve information when reasonably necessary to enforce these terms, protect people, respond to a report, comply with law, or maintain the security of the service. A report does not automatically prove a violation, and we will handle sensitive reports as privately as the review allows.

For urgent danger, contact local emergency services first. YoursToOpen can review content on this service but cannot provide emergency assistance.

Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable experience, but networks, browsers, third-party providers, maintenance, and security events can affect availability. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary, while respecting applicable law and communicating material changes where required.

Creators should preview the recipient journey before sharing and keep their own copy of content that matters to them.

Responsibility and service limits

YoursToOpen is responsible for providing the service with reasonable care. It is not responsible for creator content, a creator’s lack of permission, misuse or public sharing of a private link, or failures caused by a recipient’s device, network, browser, or an external service outside YoursToOpen’s reasonable control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or responsibility which cannot lawfully be excluded. The service is for personal messages and is not intended for emergency, medical, legal, financial, or other time-critical communication.

Disputes and applicable rights

Please contact info@yourstoopen.com first so YoursToOpen can try to resolve a concern directly. These terms do not select an exclusive governing law or court and do not remove any mandatory consumer rights, remedies, or dispute routes available under the law that applies to you.
